Founder Sauro Tordini established the Scatolificio TS packaging company in the town of Civitanova Marche in 1984. A few years later, he was joined by his brother, Eno Tordini, who brought with him a new set of professional skills and a spark of creativity.
“When we started out, we specialized in boxes for the shoe industry. It was the natural solution, given our location in the town’s famous leather district. Here, we found a throng of small and medium-sized companies that could benefit from our logistical and technical support in packaging their products, which would then be ready for sale and export to markets all over Italy and abroad.
Thanks to a long-term outlook and some key strategic choices – particularly in embracing high-definition flexographic printing – the company has grown exponentially over the years. What started out as a small, artisanal enterprise is now a mid-sized paper processing and printing company. It is active in a variety of product sectors including shoes, food, wine and clothing, to name but a few, and has become the official packaging supplier to a number of major Italian firms.
This success has inevitably meant that the company itself has had to grow and increase its production capacity. As a result, we recently moved from Civitanova Marche to a new 6,000-m² facility in the industrial district of Montecosaro. We have made a conscious choice to make our production processes more sustainable, installing a 190-kW photovoltaic solar power system for the day-to-day running of our production lines, and setting up automated systems to recuperate and process offcuts of corrugated cardboard and prepare them for recycling.
We are committed to providing ongoing training for our employees and updating our equipment to provide our clients with a constantly evolving range of packaging solutions in line with the demands and trends of the market.
Our story continues…”
